Over the past 25+ years, that I have been established as a Kitchen Painting Company, I’ve painted well in excess of 500 kitchens for clients. Working predominantly throughout the whole of the West Midlands region (Birmingham Conurbation, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire & Worcestershire and Warwickshire). But also, at times, around the globe on some prestigious painting projects.Hand Painted Kitchens
Many clients come to me with a dated solid wood or laminate kitchen. Kitchens are expensive to replace, not to mention all the associated costs and disruption of having a new one fitted: plasterers, plumbers, electricians, flooring fitters, kitchen fitters, etc. So it’s important that a master kitchen painter is commissioned, to ensure that the best possible products are used and the correct methods and systems employed in order to achieve a luxurious, flawless, hand painted finish.
Hand Painting your kitchen is a cost-effective and practical way to upgrade doors and units, giving a bespoke finish to your existing layout. At a fraction of the cost of replacing it with a new one. (@mjguestltd Instagram link)
In my experience, there are a number of different types of kitchen projects that I encounter;
New build, bare wood (MDF or solid wood)
New build, pre-primed (MDF or solid wood)
Varnished solid wood
Waxed solid wood
Existing painted wood
Laminate
All of these types of Hand Painted Kitchen projects are approached in the same methodical way – no matter how large or small. Firstly, I degrease and prepare with dust-free sanding technology (99.9% dust extraction). I remove all door hinges and handles and prime them with coats of our Specialist High Adhesion Sealer/Primers. Then further coats of a furniture specific water-based topcoat are applied by brush; tinted accurately to our customer’s preferred colour. No sprayers are used to produce my finishes – so no overspray and airborne paint particles in your home!
A clean and tidy approach is vital to the success of our work. I use Wallrock lining paper to protect all worktops and hobs. All worktop edges are protected with 3M 2090 (blue) masking tape, and floors are covered with Wallrock or Packexe. All doors and drawer fronts are stored upon a modular racking system. I am fully “house trained,” and disruption is kept to an absolute minimum.

Most Kitchen Cabinet Painting projects take around 2 weeks to complete. During this time, you will have full use of your kitchen at the end of each day and even during the work day (although we may have to work around each other a little!).
